CHUCK ADAMS DEBUT NOVEL ‘SOMETHING MORE’ NOW AVAILABLE
Book Release

Book cover 'Something More'PublishAmerica is proud to announce that Chuck Adams’ debut novel ‘Something More’ is now available at PublishAmerica.com and will soon also be available though Amazon.com and local bookstores.

‘Something More’, the first novel in a planned Bobby Sanders trilogy, is the fictional love story of Bobby Sanders and Kimberly Wells. The book is set across Long Island, from the East End in Mattituck and Southampton, to Garden City and Manhattan. It is a cross between a modern day ‘Ironside’ and a Nicholas Sparks romance novel.

Bobby Sanders began life with a challenge. Life took away his legs. But it couldn’t take away his drive and passion and heart. This is a story of hope and determination and faith and true love…a story of finding that something more in all of us.

Bobby, like Chuck Adams, is in a wheelchair. He knows it's okay to be different, it's okay to dream, it's okay to want something more in life.

Bobby begins his career as an advertising executive in Manhattan, before becoming an investigative journalist. Kim, who lost both of her parents in a car accident when she was thirteen, is a producer at ESPN. She is in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend, soon-to-be husband, Michael Johnson.

Bobby and Kim meet on a cruise to St. Thomas in 1991, when they are both so desperately searching for something more in their own lives. They laugh and dance and play tennis and fall in love. But Kim still goes ahead with her wedding. Bobby is heartbroken. Across the next ten years, Bobby and Kim both endure great hardships, including the death of Kim's nine-year old son...until they find their way back to each other, three days after Bobby, sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden, uncovers an NBA betting scandal-the defining moment in his budding journalistic career.

About the Author...

Chuck Adams is a lifelong resident of Mattituck, New York. Growing up with a physical challenge, he knows that things often don’t come easy.

Adams was born with a severed spinal cord and is paralyzed from the waist down. As he likes to say, he was born in a wheelchair. Adams was the first wheelchair bound student to go from K-12 in the Mattituck, NY school system. To be one of the guys, he covered the high school sports teams for the local newspapers. He played the role of a king in a school play...his wheelchair made a splendid throne.

In all respects, he was one of the guys.

Adams majored in business and marketing at Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY. He was the captain of the wheelchair basketball team. His business career has been varied and fulfilling. Adams has been a Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations in the financial industry and is currently a Corporate Sales Rep for BJ's Wholesale Club. He continues to write sports for the Times-Review Newspapers and is a co-host on Ed Zaborowski's weekly sports cable television show called 'The Hot Stove League.' Adams is the proud of father of two daughters.

“My life has been full and rich and good,” Adams said. “I truly believe that ‘Something More’ can be a roadmap of hope and possibilities.”

"If grateful people do trust life enough to give it a second chance, Chuck Adams has an endless supply. He knows how easy it would have been to give in to the doubters who early on predicted a short life of hardship. He is justifiably proud of how wrong he proved them. And each time either he or his wheelchair hit one of those small bumps in life’s road, Chuck is renewed by his long list of accomplishments. He is re-energized in knowing that for him, there is something more.

Something More... by, Chuck Adams

In the summer of 1979, I wrote the first three chapters of a romance novel called, 'Something More'.

It is the fictional love story of Bobby Sanders and Kimberly Wells.

It is inspired by a true story.

Bobby, like myself, is in a wheelchair. He knows it's okay to be different, it's okay to dream, it's okay to want something more in life.

'Something More' is a cross between 'Ironside' and a Nicholas Sparks romance novel. Bobby Sanders is my Rocky Balboa.

This is a story about hope and determination and faith.

About the strength of the human spirit and the power of true love.

A story about finding that something more in all of us.

Twenty five years after I began writing this story, I completed Bobby and Kim's romantic journey in the summer of 2004. Six months later, I found an agent in NYC.

Across the past four years, we have been searching for a publisher and movie producer who will share our vision and passion for this story. I am grateful to PublishAmerica for believing in me and 'Something More'...we are still searching for a movie producer.

My life has been full and rich and good. But there have, of course, been challenges…bumps in the road.

I hope that as you one day read ‘Something More’, it will be a roadmap of hope and possibilities for you.

I hope it can help you find that Something More in your life !!!
